    Call on Washington
    September 10-12, 2017

NCTA's Call on Washington program is our opportunity to meet directly with Members of Congress, key congressional staff, federal regulators, fellow industry leaders and ATA staff to discuss legislation and regulations affecting the trucking industry.

    Why should I go?

No one knows our industry like we do! Members of Congress need to hear first-hand from business owners and executives about our concerns.

    Why does it cost?

Participants pay their own travel and hotel costs and meals.

What is involved in the Congressional visits?

We arrange all the appointments, provide briefing materials and hold a briefing session at American Trucking Association before we meet with Members of Congress and staff. We make it easy to get to and from Capitol Hill and other venues and we try to make the most  efficient use of your time.

    The Intergenerational Workplace
    Professional Development & Mentoring Program

    Summary of Workshop

We are now living at a time in which there are five different generations in the workforce. In fact, there are five very different generations that often do not understand each other and frequently have trouble working harmoniously together. This seminar is designed to help participants learn the different characteristics assigned to each generation in order to promote understanding, and to enable participants to realize that the most effective work teams will include members from each generation.

The participant will be able to work more effectively with members of all five generations, promoting cross-collaborative projects that pull the best from all involved.  Includes a networking lunch and a mentoring presentation from an industry executive.

    Objectives

The Aging Workforce and Labor Shortage Implications
 Traditionals, Baby Boomers, Gen X, Gen Y, Gen Z
 Benefits of a Multigenerational Team
