SPEAKER SUMMARY BIOGRAPHY

Steve Chewning is Director of Accident Reconstruction Services for Forcon International Corporation.  Steve has over thirty (30) years experience in accident reconstruction and analysis, investigated over 6000 crashes and participated in more than 350 trials since 1980.  He is a specialist in commercial vehicle crash reconstruction and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.  Mr. Chewning holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Administration of Justice and Public Safety (Highway Safety) from the Virginia Commonwealth University.  He holds a Certificate of Full Accreditation from The Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR), Registration #441.  Steve has qualified as an expert witness in seventeen (17) states and the District of Columbia.  Steve has published numerous articles on accident reconstruction and investigation techniques, teaches classes regularly and conducts related seminars to the transportation, insurance, self-insured and defense industries on a national basis.  He is also a Certified Director of Safety (CDS) by The North American Transportation Management Institute (NATMI) and is a certified instructor for courses offered by NATMI.
