This workshop will assist in an educational review of safety regulation as well as North Carolina state laws that are specific to your company and review the components of the required files that are required by the safety regulations and or North Carolina state law.

  • Financial Responsibility/Insurance Requirements
  • Safety Audit Process
  • Corrective Action Plan
  • Record Retention
  • Hours of Service

A New Entrant Safety Audit is conducted on all new carriers which are listed as Interstate Carriers. This audit is an educational experience and will determine if the company official(s) have a basic understanding of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

About the speaker 

Mr. Michael J. Boudreaux, CDS, CDT, is President/Owner of Transportation Financial Systems, Inc. (TFS) a motor fleet safety consulting firm located in Harvey, LA.  Mr. Boudreaux is a Certified Director of Safety and Certified Driver Trainer through the North American Transportation Management Institute, NATMI since 1994. He has instructed numerous motor fleet safety courses throughout the United States for NATMI since 1995.  Twice he has been selected as Outstanding Instructor of the year.  He was contracted with Professional Safety Consulting, Inc., Lincoln, NE from December 1999 to December 2008, he is currently contracted with Thorn Valley Safety, Greenfield, IN which performs motor fleet safety loss control survey reports for insurance companies.   Also, he is currently contracted with the North Carolina Trucking Association in providing motor fleet safety services to its membership.  He is a member of the Louisiana Motor Transport Association (LMTA) and has served as a panel member for seminars put on by the Transportation Lawyers Association. He has offered testimony in court as an expert witness in motor fleet safety.
